It will take longer to get the troops to be effective against higher bases on your level, and it will also take longer to master the much more complicated attack strategies that are necessary if you want to continue to 3 star bases. You're also approaching the end stages of the game, and upgrading will be a much longer process. At TH9, the weight of your defenses begins to matter a lot more for war matching.
